When I lived in Montgomery my neighbors were two of the greatest people on this planet. Every year they would travel up to the Smokey Mountains to enjoy the bright colors of the Autumn leaves and the refreshing break from the extremely hot Summers here in central Alabama. One year Joe brought back a black and white snap shot of this old black bear with a hump on his nose and told me about how they would see this bear every year in the same area. For Christmas I did this painting for Joe and Edna, and years later when they passed away their family asked me if I would like to have it to remember them by.
